The report said about 55 percent of four wheelers and 45 percent of two wheelers have violated the rules. Additionally, 51.3 percent of the people said that when they see the police on the road, they check their speed. 34.6 percent people immediately reduce the speed of their vehicle, even if they have not violated the law. 12.9 percent said that they change their driving style to avoid being caught. This suggests that following the rules by the drivers is not a habit but fear.
Additionally, 47 percent of people claim that despite CCTV cameras they drive in the same way. 36.8 percent of the people believed that they only drive slowly when they see the camera. 15.3 percent of the people said that they reduce the speed only due to cameras. It is clear from this that traffic management cannot be left only on technology. The maximum 49 percent cases were to drive at a fast speed. In Gurugram, officials issued more than 4,500 invoices per day. This means that a fine of more than one million rupees was charged per day.
