Operation Sindoor is a proof of the courage and valor of our soldiers.
On Sunday evening, Kasami met Rajnath Singh with some academics and congratulated him on the success of Operation Sindoor. After the meeting, Kasami said that Operation Sindoor is a symbol of courage and valor of our soldiers and every student should learn about it. He further said, “We will soon call a meeting of the course committee to include this chapter.”
The initiative will affect 451 registered madrasas of Uttarakhand, where more than 50,000 students will now study the military operations conducted in Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) and Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. 26 people lost their lives in this attack.
The decision taken by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is aimed at providing information about India’s anti-terrorism campaigns and national security efforts to the students.
Operation Sindoor: India’s military response to terrorism
India started Operation Sindoor as a counter -attack against terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK. Between May 7 and May 10, the Indian Army carried out nine strategic attacks, destroying the terrorist structure across the border. According to a senior military official, seven of these attacks were carried out from places to the south of the Pir Panjal Range in Jammu and Kashmir, causing effective damage to the enemy’s bases.
After India’s quick and accurate military action, Pakistan tried to retaliate on Indian military bases on 8, 9 and 10 May. However, the Indian Army successfully neutralized the threats, causing about 50 enemies casualties and minimal damage to Indian military properties.
On May 10, it was agreed to end hostility between the two countries, although the Indian Army has confirmed that there is no termination date for the agreement. The army is on high alert and is ready for any provocation.
Educational importance of operation vermilion
The decision by the Government of Uttarakhand to include Operation Sindoor in a madrasa study shows the widespread effort to strengthen national consciousness in students. The purpose of including this chapter is to increase awareness about national security challenges as well as provide factual understanding of India’s defense strategies.
Officials believe that educating students about India’s military campaigns will create a sense of patriotism and strategic awareness in them, and they will be ready to discuss defense, security policies and geopolitical developments.
Mixed reactions came to the decision
The move has received a mixed response, the supporters emphasized the need for informed and fact-based education on national security, while some critics argue that military campaigns should be kept separate from the academic syllabus. However, state education officials say that this chapter will focus on India’s global stance against history, defense strategy and terrorism.
