Mumbai: The city of dreams is gearing up for significant rainfall because of an unusual weather pattern. The IMD predicts a low-pressure system close to the Konkan coast by May 22, bringing extensive rain throughout the city and neighbouring regions. An orange alert has been announced for areas such as Thane, Pune, Nasik, Raigad, and Latur.

According to the reports from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this week temperatures are anticipated to vary from 26 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius, along with cloudy skies and precipitation for several days. Mumbai Climate Today

On May 20, the IMD predicted cloudy weather and the possibility of heavy rains. Because of cloudy skies, some relief from intense sunlight will be noted. Temperatures are rising today to 30 degrees Celsius, while humidity stays low at 70%, and the wind is blowing at 6 km/h with precipitation at 5% by 9 AM today. Reports from the weather department show that the minimum and maximum temperatures fluctuate between 26 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Mumbai Rain Forecast

A cyclonic circulation is anticipated near Konkan in the next 24 hours, and another system is developing over the Bay of Bengal. Extensive rainfall is expected from May 19 to 25, with significant precipitation predicted for Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra. Alerts feature yellow for Mumbai and red for Ahmednagar, Solapur, and Osmanabad.

Forecast for Tomorrow’s Weather

According to recent weather reports from the IMD, temperatures are predicted to be between 25 and 32 degrees Celsius on May 21. IMD predicts that May 21 will experience overcast conditions with heavy rains, much like today. The weather forecast suggests that rain or thundershowers may happen in the evening or night, while daytime conditions will prevail.

Mumbai Air Quality Index Today

As per the Air Quality Index (AQI) report from the Sameer App by the Central Pollution Control Bureau (CPCB), today’s AQI readings are at 88, categorized as ‘Satisfactory’ levels. The AQI Levels have observed a steep drop.
