Indian Army: Modernization of Indian Army will increase the country’s military strength

News India Live, Digital Desk: Major General Karthik C Seshadri, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 15 Infantry Division of the Indian Army, on Sunday underlined the army’s commitment to modernization and self -reliance with special attention to indigenous and integrated defense capabilities.

Talking to ANI in Amritsar, Major General Seshadri said that the army is undergoing a “concentrated change” and adopting state -of -the -art techniques to neutralize threats in various fields. He said, “The Indian Army is adamant on the path of modernization and concentrated changes, in which indigenization for self -sufficiency is an important component.”

The Indian Army demonstrated how the Akash missile and other air defense systems saved the Golden Temple and the cities of Punjab from Pakistani drones and missile attacks.

Improvement in army defense system

Highlighting the efforts of the government for reforms, he said that the Defense Minister has declared 2025 as “years of reforms”, while the Chief of the Army has called the current decade “permanent decade of change”. The commander said that the army has developed a multi -level air defense system equipped with all weather platforms. He said, “With the suitable mixture of day and night monitoring, tracking system and fire control radar, guns and missiles, give us wide capacity,” he said.

He also talked about the sky system- it is an indigenously developed network that integrates the resources of the Army, Navy and Air Force. He said, “It gives us a shared aerial picture, which helps to make fast decisions and target hostile aerial threats effectively.”
