Government-Congress Confronte: Government-Congress conflict on the selection of all party delegation

News India Live, Digital Desk: All -party delegation of India: After the list of Members of Parliament (MPs) and all -party delegations representing India’s resolution against terrorism was declared on Saturday, the Congress criticized the Center for choosing only one of the four nominated leaders.

Seven all -party delegations are scheduled to visit major partner countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) later this month. This is happening in the context of India’s continuous fight against ‘Operation Sindoor’ and “across the border terrorism”.

In the statement, the Congress leader criticized the Center for choosing only one of the four names suggested for the all -party delegation.

The post reads, “Tonight (May 17) tonight (17 May) a complete list of members of all delegations has been officially released. The saddest thing is that only 1 of the 4 names suggested by the Congress leadership is included in it.

It further stated, “The four prestigious Congress MPs/leaders incorporated at the insistence of the Modi government will definitely go with the delegation and contribute.”

There are four Congress leaders selected for the all-party delegation- Shashi Tharoor, Dr. Amar Singh, Manish Tiwari and Anand Sharma.

Earlier, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs said in a statement, “All-party delegation will put forward India’s national consent and firm attitude to combat terrorism in all forms and expressions. They will carry forward the strong message of the country of zero-oppression against terrorism in front of the world.”

Who are the members of the seven all -party delegation?

The following MPs will lead seven delegations-

1- Shashi Tharoor, Congress
2- Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP
3- Sanjay Kumar Jha, JDU
4- Baijayant Panda, BJP

Pakistan will also start a similar mission

Like New Delhi, Islamabad can also send a delegation to present “its case for peace” globally. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in a post on Facebook that Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has asked him to lead a delegation for this.

Zardari said in the post, “Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif approached me this morning and requested me to lead a delegation to present a case of Pakistan for peace on the international stage.”

Operation vermilion

The diplomatic move by New Delhi to send seven all -party delegations on a global mission, was raised a few days after the operation sindoor launched by India to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack, a few days after Pakistan carried out a drone and missile attack on Indian territory.
