Black Buck Case: Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Neelam’s difficulties increased again

News India Live, Digital Desk: Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre’s legal problems have come to the fore in the 1998 black deer hunting case, as the Rajasthan government has approached the High Court challenging the decision to acquit them.

The appeal permission petition was held on Friday in the court of Justice Manoj Kumar Garg, who directed to list the case with the pending cases.

According to government lawyer Advocate Mahipal Vishnoi, the alleged hunting took place on 1 October 1998 during the shooting of the Bollywood film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in Kankani village near Jodhpur.

On 5 April 2018, the trial court convicted actor Salman Khan and sentenced him to five years in jail.

However, co-accused Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Dushyant Singh were acquitted for lack of adequate evidence.

These acquitted decisions have been challenged in the appeal of the state government and it will also include the permission of the transfer petition and the punishment given to Salman Khan.

Kankani village case came to light in the year 1998 after which Salman Khan was convicted on 5 April 2018 and sent to Jodhpur Central Jail.

On 7 April 2018, he was given conditional bail after depositing Rs 50,000. He is still out on bail and the case is currently pending in the High Court.

Salman was sentenced to five years on April 10, 2006 by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court. He appealed to the High Court, which acquitted him on 25 July 2016.

The state government challenged it in the Supreme Court, where the case is still pending.

On 17 February 2006, the CJM court sentenced Salman to one year in another case. He was later acquitted by the High Court.

The state government again appealed to the Supreme Court, and the hearing is still pending.

Salman was also an accused in the Arms Act case. He was later acquitted on January 18, 2017, in connection with illegal weapons during the incidents of poaching.
