Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A female constable from Jabalpur won three gold medals for India at the International South Asian Master Athletics Championship 2025, held in Pokhara, Nepal from May 4 to May 6.

She clinched gold in the shot put, discus throw, and javelin throw events, showcasing remarkable strength and dedication on the international stage.

According to information, Ranjana Sharma a female constable from Jabalpur competed in three major events- hammer throw, discus throw, and shotput throw and won gold medals in all three.

Her strong performance brought honour not only to her department but also to the state of Madhya Pradesh and the nation.

To recognize her achievement, Superintendent of Police Sampat Upadhyay congratulated and honored her at the SP office in Jabalpur. He said, “Ranjana, you have brought pride to Jabalpur Police, Madhya Pradesh Police, and the entire nation. We are proud of you and hope you continue to inspire others.”

Colleagues from her department and people from across the district also expressed their happiness. Ranjana’s hard work, focus, and determination have become an inspiration for many, especially young women in the police and sports fields.

This success is not just a personal milestone but a golden moment in the history of Jabalpur Police.

Ranjana Sharma has shown how a police officer can also shine in sports at the international level.
