Mild tremors were also felt in Kathmandu and neighboring districts, but there is no news of loss anywhere. Since the epicenter of the earthquake was in the mountainous region, its effect was limited.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday evening, an earthquake of 3.4 magnitude occurred in Kutch district of the Indian state of Gujarat. According to the Indian Earthquake Research Organization (ISRO), light tremors were felt at 6:55 pm. The center of the earthquake was 12 km north-west from Bhachau. District disaster response officials said that there is no news of any loss of life and property due to earthquake. Kutch district falls in high-risk earthquake-prone areas.
