The Netflix series ‘The Royals’ has been the talk of the town, and so has its leading lady, Bhumi Pednekar. While her performance has kept audiences hooked, her fashion choices throughout the series have been equally show-stopping, showcasing modern power dressing with classic elegance.
However, the real star of her royal fashion diary was the grand finale look, where Bhumi turned heads in a striking red bridal lehenga by iconic designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
Take a look:
Bhumi Pednekar’s archival lehenga look for The Royals
Taking to their Instagram handle, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla shared stunning pictures of Bhumi, dressed in a fiery red lehenga paired with a fitted traditional choli. According to the couturiers’ statement to Vogue India, “Bhumi’s lehenga was recreated from an archival garment from 35 years ago.”
The lehenga was brought back to life with meticulous handwork, adorning over 5,000 real mirrors and heavy zardozi embroidery, staying true to the designers’ signature opulence. The duo described it as “a handcrafted work of art that is indulgent to the core,” and rightfully so.
The actress ditched the dupatta to let her toned physique and exquisite lehenga choli do the talking.
Taking her royal look to new heights, Bhumi accessorised with stunning traditional jewellery, including an ornate choker, maang tikka, layered bangles, and bracelets.
Bhumi’s makeup glam was kept subtle yet elegant with a clean base, sculpted face, a hint of blush, shimmering eyes and matte nude lips. Her hair was styled in a middle-parted loose braid, adding a soft elegance that balanced the extravagance of her outfit.
