News India Live, Digital Desk: Final dividend declared: Telecom head Bharti Airtel has announced the recommendation of financial results and dividends for the fourth quarter (Q4) and year ended on 31 March 2025.
Airtel said that the board has considered and recommended the final dividend of Rs 16 on each fully paid equity share of Rs 16 and Rs 5 on each partially paid equity share of Rs. 4 (Rs 1.25 per share per share) on each fully paid equity share of Rs 5 for the financial year 2024-25.
Bharti Airtel on Tuesday recorded a gradual decline of 22.68 percent in its net profit for the fourth quarter (Q4) of FY 2025, as heavy fluctuations in tax expenditure affected the earnings.
According to the information given to the stock exchange, the net profit of the company declined from Rs 16,134.6 crore to Rs 12,475.8 crore in the previous quarter.
The decline in profit was mainly due to a change in tax expenditure of Rs 2,891.9 crore in the fourth quarter due to a tax profit of Rs 757.3 crore in the third quarter, which led to the pressure on the final result despite the revenue hike.
The income-by-quarter of the telecom-major company increased by 6.1 percent to Rs 47,876.2 crore in the fourth quarter, which was Rs 45,129.3 crore in the third quarter.
This growth was supported by concrete speed in the Indian market, improvement in reported currency revenue of Africa, and full quarterly effects of consolidation of Indus towers.
However, Airtel Business is a segment that saw a decline, which recorded a decline of 2.7 percent in revenue on a year-on-year basis. This was due to the deliberately taken steps to finish low margin services such as global wholesale commodity voice and messaging.
