Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has recorded an impressive 94.72% overall pass percentage in the SSC (Class 10) examinations conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, for the academic year 2024–25.

The exams were held between February 21 and March 17, 2025. A total of 2,698 students from 23 NMMC-run secondary schools appeared for the exams, out of which 2,568 passed, reflecting the corporation’s strong commitment to public education.

Leading the performance chart is Anshika Angad Yadav, a student of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Vidyalaya (School No. 104) at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Nagar, Rabale. Anshika secured 95% marks, the highest among all NMMC schools. She was closely followed by Sahil Yuvraj Jadhav from NMMC School No. 118, Pawane, who scored 94.60%, and Rukayya Gufran Ansari from NMMC School No. 121, Kukshet, with 94%.

Notably, three schools under the municipal corporation achieved a 100% pass rate:

NMMC School No. 108, Digha

NMMC School No. 111, Turbhe Store

NMMC School No. 116, Sanpada

Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde congratulated all successful students, stating, “This performance is a result of dedicated efforts by the students, teachers, and the education department. We are proud of their achievements.”

As part of the academic support, the NMMC Education Department had provided 21 essential guidance modules to each school. During Diwali holidays and after school hours, students were given personal mentoring sessions. Additionally, practice question papers were distributed, and mock exams were conducted at the school level to enhance exam preparedness.
