Mumbai: A brave Mumbai police constable, Bhikaji Gosavi, showed great courage by jumping into the sea to rescue a woman on May 12. The incident happened near B.D. Somani Junction at Cuffe Parade. PC Gosavi was on duty when he saw an unidentified woman jump into the sea.
Without wasting any time, he immediately informed the control room and then jumped into the water to try and save her. He reached the woman and pulled her out. After bringing her to shore, he gave her CPR to save her life. Sadly, despite his brave efforts, the woman was later declared dead at the hospital.
PC Gosavi’s quick thinking and brave action are being praised across Mumbai. He risked his own life in an attempt to save someone else’s. The Mumbai Police shared the incident on their official X (formerly Twitter) account @MTPHereToHelp, appreciating the courage shown by the constable.
