News India Live, Digital Desk: Yogi adityanath: Crime has been banned under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh. The UP government recently introduced the data regarding how much crime was controlled. A statement released on Monday said that in the last 8 years, the Uttar Pradesh government has crushed the crime and 230 criminals have been piled up across the state and destroyed the terrorist sleeper cell.
It has also been told that the government has targeted the Terror Network with zero-tolerance approach. Funding, religious extremism, forged documents and foreign infiltration have been targeted in the state with a strategy.
230 criminals killed
The statement stated that since 2017, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 230 dreaded criminals have been killed, 142 sleeper cells have been destroyed – including 131 active modules that give shelter to operatives and leaked intelligence information – and 11 funding networks have been busted.
Since assuming office in 2017, the Chief Minister has adopted a zero-tolerance approach on crime and terrorism. Following his instructions, the UP Anti -Terrorism Squad (ATS) has carried out intelligence operations with advanced technology to destroy the sleeper cell, prevent foreign infiltration and prevent funding network.
ATS campaigned
The 8-year campaign of ATS has broken the network of sleeper modules associated with global and domestic terrorist organizations, including ISIS, AQIS, JMB, ABT, LET, JEM, HM, IM-Mim, Naxalite, PFI and ISI, and has worked to eliminate them.
The continuous attempt to eliminate crime in the state has not only demolished the terrorist network, but has also ensured the arrest of prominent activists assisting these groups.
What action was taken
The ATS arrested 41 fraudsters with fake notes worth Rs 47.03 lakh, detained 173 illegal Rohingya and Bangladeshi citizens on safety, destroying 11 sleeper modules, detaining more than 20 religious conversion syndications on security basis. 19 cyber criminals were arrested, including four Chinese citizens who run the SIM-card and identity scam.
It states that the ATS has also taken action on the elements that incite religious unrest, including those who conspired to conspiracy around the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
