Islamabad: Pakistan on Tuesday admitted to loses it suffered in India strikes on its military and air bases as part of Operation Sindoor. The Pakistan Army released the names of 11 soldiers and airmen killed in India’s offensive between May 7 and 10.

Meanwhile, 78 Pakistan Army and Air Force personnel were also injured after India responded to Pakistan’s retaliation to Operation Sindoor, launched to target terror camps in the neighbouring country and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), reported AFP, quoting a statement by the Pakistan Army.

Among the deceased were Pakistan Air Force Squadron leader Usman Yousuf, chief technician Aurangzeb and Naik Abdul Rehman.

Pakistan also claimed that 40 civilians were killed in the Inia strikes. However, India denied hitting civilian installations.

In the Operation Sindoor, which was launched on the intervening night of May 6 and 7, the Indian armed forced hit nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. Over 100 terrorists were killed in the Indian precision strikes,

However, Pakistan targeted civilian and military areas in India with drones and missiles in retaliation to Operation Sindoor.

On the intervening night of May 9 and 10, India hit several Pakistan air bases, including Nur Khan, Sukkur and Rahim Yar Khan after Islamabad launched barrage of rockets and missiles targeting civilian and military areas. India’s air defence system destroyed all the missiles and drones launched by Pakistan.

Both the countries agreed to a ceasefire on May 10.
