Australia’s team has been announced for the WTC 2025 final. Cricket Australia has decided to launch a strong team for the final of the ICC World Test Championship 2025 against South Africa next month. It includes many young players, but most of them are players who have been part of Australia’s Test team for a long time. New young players have got a place in the final match against South Africa.

World Test Championship 2025

The final match of WTC 2025 will be played between Australia and South Africa at Lord’s, London from 11 June. Australia will try to win the final of WTC 2025 for the second consecutive time. Earlier in 2023, Australia defeated India and won the championship title. And before that the New Zealand team became the champion in 2021. The same team selected for the ICC World Test Championship 2025 will also play the Test series against the West Indies. This team consists of the same players under which the Australian team won India 3–1 and Sri Lanka 2–0.

Two new faces in the team

The Australian team consists of 15 players. According to Cricket Australia’s announcement, two new young players have been placed. The player was out of the team after surgery. But now Cameron Green has been included in the team to show his best performance in the final match. Apart from this, the beauty, who performed well against India, has also become part of the team. While all -rounder Mitchell Marsh has been dropped from the team. Apart from this, there has not been much change in the Australian team defeating Sri Lanka 2-0 and India 3–1. Pat Cummins has been entrusted with the responsibility of making the team champion in WTC 2025 for the second consecutive time. He will be accompanied by Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc in fast bowling. The three have recently returned to their country after playing IPL and there is no possibility of joining the league again.
