Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The ceasefire between India and Pakistan is a strong move from Indian army. The set target has been achieved of destroying terror camps, government works on mission not on emotion, said former army officers here on Monday.
The ex-army officers said the union government was capable of taking the extreme step but the Indian government wanted to destroy the terror camps this time.
“Without crossing the line of control, the Indian army destroyed the terror camps and launch pads,” Air Marshal (retired) PK Shrivastava told Free Press. He added that the decision was taken because of Pahalgam attack.
“As an Indian, everyone wants to take revenge of the act done by the terrorist but the Government works on mission not on emotions. It may be a disappointment for common people but mission was to destroy the terror camps and nothing more than that,” he added.
He said Indian Government made it clear that the terror attack would be considered an act of war in which the GoI would be free to take termination steps.
Colonel (retired) Dinesh Goyel said, “India has emerged a strong country with commitment. The future aspect of the conflict gives clear message to the neighbouring countries like Bangladesh also. The message is that if they do any mischief, they will be dealt with iron hands”.
