Mumbai: It has been revealed that a former IPS officer living in Pune was cheated for Rs 50 lakh by promising attractive returns on investment in the stock market.

After this incident, a case has been registered at Pune Deccan Police Station on the complaint of the 80 -year -old former IPS officer. However, it is suspected that the main accused has fled to Dubai.

According to further information received in this regard, on the basis of the complaint of the 80 -year -old former IPS officer living in Pune area, the police have initiated action against two persons named Rajiv and Harshal by registering a case under various sections. Two crimes have been registered against Rajiv, accused in this case.

The complainant said that when the accused came to his office in Deccan area, Rajiv lured him of good returns on investment in the stock market. During this time, the complainant came into his talk and he invested Rs 50 lakh through a check in a phased manner. However, when he stopped getting compensation, when he went to the office to meet him, the accused had closed the office, making the officer realized that he had been cheated. He then lodged a complaint with the police.
