Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Reviews Simhastha 2028 Plans In Ujjain; Focus On Development In Bhopal, Omkareshwar, Maheshwar & More |

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav held a review meeting in Ujjain to check the progress of preparations for Simhastha 2028 on Sunday.

The meeting took place at Vikramaditya Sankul Bhavan with senior officials from Ujjain and Indore.

After the meeting, CM Yadav said that Simhastha Kumbh will be held in 2028, and the state government has already approved several development works for the event.

He shared that areas like Omkareshwar, Maheshwar, Pashupatinath, Nalkheda, Bhopal, and the entire Malwa region are being included as part of the Simhastha planning zone.

He said the government is fully focused on making Simhastha 2028 a grand and well-managed event, and work is being done across departments to ensure everything is ready on time.

He also added “Schemes have been drawn up considering the entire Malwa region from Omkareshwar and Maheshwar to Pashupatinath, Nalkheda, and Bhopal as the Simhastha work area”.

The Chief Minister clarified that the government is working at a fast pace on all the schemes.

MP Anil Ferozia, Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, Sabhapati Kalavati Yadav, former MLA Rajendra Bharti, BJP leader Jagdish Aggarwal, Commissioner Sanjay Jain, Ujjain Collector Roshan Singh and Indore Collector Ashish Singh along with other senior administrative officers of the district were present in the review meeting of Simhastha.

CM will attend the welcome ceremony of Mandal officials

Later in the day, the chief minister is scheduled to attend the introduction and welcome ceremony of the newly appointed Mandal officials in the program organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party Nagar Sangathan.

This event will be held in the morning at Aastha Garden, in which public representatives will be present. According to BJP media in-charge Dinesh Jatva, the presidents of 12 Mandals of the party had announced their respective executive committees. All the newly appointed officials will be formally welcomed on this occasion.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will also participate in the Tiranga Yatra.

Earlier, the Chief Minister, who reached Ujjain late on Sunday night, presided over the closing ceremony of the All India Ferozia Trophy 2025 Tennis Ball Cricket Competition at Kshirsagar Stadium.

During this, he announced that the state government is committed in promoting sports. The government has doubled the sports budget and players winning medals in the Olympics will be awarded an incentive of Rs 1 crore, which was earlier Rs 50 lakh.

The Chief Minister also announced that well-equipped sports grounds will be developed in every assembly of the state, so that the youth can get better opportunities.
