Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Batra Hospital and Shuddhi Ayurveda – Jeena Sikho Life Care Limited Hospital, which were running without registration under MP Upcharyagriha Tatha Rujopchar Sambandhi Sthapanaye (Registrikaran Tatha Anugyapan) Adhiniyam, 1973, were sealed on Friday.

The investigation found that operation of Shuddhi Ayurveda – Jeena Sikho Life Care Limited Hospital was running without registration under the Act, was shut down.

During preliminary investigation, it came to light that this hospital was advertising that it treats serious diseases including cancer from the root.

Doctor Batra Clinic in MP Nagar was inspected by CMHO team. The clinic claims to offer hair treatment. During the inspection, the clinic operator could not show required documents to the team. Instructions have been given to keep the clinic operation closed till documents are presented.

In the investigation, it was found that Shuddhi Ayurvedic Hospital, operating in a three-storeyed building, claims to have OPD, Ayurvedic Pharmacy, IPD and Panchkarma facility. The hospital operator admitted before the inspection team that he does not have registration and license to run the hospital, nor has an application been given in this regard.

Medicines of Shuddhi Ayurveda marketed by Jeena Sikho Life Care Limited were found in the hospital. However, the management had not taken permission to sell the medicine.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Prabhakar Tiwari said, “Batra Hospital and Shuddhi Ayurveda – Jeena Sikho Life Care Limited Hospital have been sealed in absence of valid permits.”
