The company told through its official blog post that these tools will provide effective protection to users in dealing with fraud on the Internet. In this context, Google has also released a report called “Fighting Scams in Search”, which has given detailed information about the methods of stopping the scam through Google Search.
Strong security from Enhanced Protection Mode
Google has launched ENHANCED PROTECTION MODE by improving Chrome’s current Safe Browsing feature. According to the company, this new mode is doubled as compared to Standard Protection. It has been developed especially for the prevention of pop-up windows and other online scams.
Gemini Nano AI model will provide additional security
Google is using its new Gemini Nano AI model to increase the effectiveness of Enhanced Protection Mode. This AI model works only on the user’s device, allowing it to immediately identify suspicious websites. Gemini Nano also understands new scam patterns with complex website content, so that users can also be protected from already unseen online scams.
AI based warning for Android Chrome
Google has an AI-based warning system in Chrome’s Android version. This system will immediately alert the user by finding out the suspected notification coming from a website. Users will have the option to either close the suspected notifications or look at the content carefully. Additionally, if a safe notification is blocked by AI by mistake, users can allow it again.
Scam prevention with the help of AI in Google Search
Google has widely used AI technology to deal with online fraud in search results. According to the company’s report, Google’s AI system has succeeded in detecting 20 times more scam pages than before. This system is able to prevent potential scam campaigns by analyzing the website content rapidly.
