Every month Pradosh fast is kept twice, one of which falls on Krishna Paksha and the other in Shukla Paksha. Venus Pradosh Vrat 2025: Date and auspicious time
- Vaishakh month, Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha begins: 9 May 2025, 2:56 pm
- Trayodashi date ends: 10 May 2025, till 5:29 pm
- Pradosh Kaal Puja Muhurta: 9 May 2025, 7:01 pm to 9:08 pm
Worship of Venus Pradosh Vrat
- On the day of fasting, take a bath in Brahma Muhurta and wear clean clothes.
- Install the entire Shiva family including Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati at the place of worship.
- Pledge to fast with Ganga water, flowers and Akshat in your hand.
- In the evening, light a lamp in the temple of the house during Pradosh period. Worship Lord Shiva with reverence by performing Jalabhishek.
- After worshiping, listen to Venus Pradosh Vrat Katha.
- Burn a lamp of ghee and perform the aarti of Lord Shiva.
- Finally chant the mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” and pray to Lord Shiva.
Special measures
For happiness in married life: On the day of Venus Pradosh, go to Shiva temple and wrap the same Molly (Kalava) on the idol of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati seven times. Keep in mind that Molly is not broken in the middle. After wrapping seven times, leave it there without putting a lump.
For happiness and peace in the family: In the evening, light a ghee lamp (with a straight white cotton light) and an oil lamp (with a red cotton light) in the Shiva temple.
To increase wealth: Take a quarter of a kilo of whole rice and some milk and donate it to the Shiva temple.
