ICAI Postpones Remaining CA May 2025 Exams Amid India-Pakistan Tensions | Official Website

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the remaining papers of the CA May 2025 exams following rising tensions between India and Pakistan. In an official notice issued on its website, the institute cited the prevailing security situation in the country as the reason behind the decision. Affected examinations include Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course Examinations, that is, the International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT) scheduled initially to be conducted from May 9 to May 14. Candidates who have applied for the CA exam can check the official notification at icai.org.

“It is announced for general information that in view of the tense and security situation in the Country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] May 2025 from 9th May 2025 to 14th May 2025, stand postponed,” reads the notification.

According to the initial schedule, the exams started on May 2 and were to last until May 14. While Intermediate Group 1 papers were administered on May 3, 5, and 7, Group 2 exams were set for May 9, 11, and 14. Final exams for Group 1 took place on May 2, 4, and 6, while those for Group 2 were set for May 8, 10, and 13. The majority of the exams were to be conducted in the afternoon session, between 2 PM and 5 PM, except for Paper 6 of the Final exam, which was to last until 6 PM.

Furthermore, according to ICAI, the revised dates for the postponed tests will be announced soon. Meanwhile, candidates should keep themselves informed by checking the official ICAI website on a regular basis and adhering to any subsequent declarations issued by the institute.
