News India Live, Digital Desk: Bhagalpur Expressway: Bihar is moving forward on the path of rapid development. Several big steps are being taken to construct roads and highways in the state. In this sequence, the Bihar government has started the process of issuing tenders for five new forelane road projects. Bihar Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen recently met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and discussed these projects in detail.
Minister Nitin Naveen said that NHAI has been instructed to extract tenders for these five forelane projects. He informed that the work of many national highways (NH) projects pending for a long time will also be completed soon.
Union Minister agreed to speed up the process
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also assured to speed up the tender process to start the work of four and six lane construction of the eastern part of NH-322, NH-333A and Patna Ring Road under the Prime Minister Package-2015. In addition, Bihar’s annual action plan 2025-26 has also been said to approve soon.
Buxar-Bhagalpur Expressway will be built six lanes
The much awaited Buxar-Bhagalpur Expressway project was also discussed in this meeting of ministers, which will be made six lanes wide. Its DPR (detailed project report) is in the final stages. As soon as the report is ready, it will be sent for approval, after which the construction work will start by issuing the tender.
Along with this, there has also been a wide discussion on the widening work of several other national highways including the elevated road project from Didarganj to Saristabad.
