Hours after India’s successful Operation Sindoor, tensions escalated as Pakistan launched a series of drone and missile attacks targeting key military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur. The Indian Armed Forces responded with precision, neutralising the threats, while blackouts were imposed across Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat to ensure public safety.

Television actor Aly Goni, who hails from Jammu, took to social media in the wee hours of Friday (May 9) to express his anxiety and relief.

Currently shooting abroad, he shared an emotional update on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing, “I am out of India shooting and my family is in Jammu. I was so mind f**cked here… thank God everyone is safe… Thanks to our IAF 🙏🏽❤️ 🇮🇳”

Aly also urged his followers to pray for Jammu and for the people staying there.

The actor’s post resonated with his fans and followers, many of whom offered support and echoed gratitude for the Indian Air Force’s prompt action.

Aly, best known for his roles in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Bigg Boss 14, has often spoken about his deep connection to his roots in Jammu.

Jammu-born comedian Samay Raina also recalled a phone call from his father in Jammu. In an Instagram story, he wrote, “My father calls me one last time tonight from Jammu to say goodnight. His voice, steady and calm, urges me to sleep and not worry-the Indian armed forces have everything under control.”

“His calmness quiets my restless thoughts. I switch off the lights in my Mumbai home and walk to the window to draw the curtains. Outside my window, my neighbor’s lights still glow. I know little about him, that’s just how it is here. I wonder if he, too, has family in Jammu, perhaps in Pathankot-or if he might be the son of a brave soldier, who won’t sleep tonight, waiting for a morning call from his father on the front lines,” Samay added.

He also saluted the armed forces and their families for the sacrifices they make for the safety of the people.

Operation Sindoor, launched earlier this week, was a high-risk counter-terror strike by Indian forces aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure across the border.

No civilian casualties were reported, and authorities have confirmed that normalcy is being gradually restored in the affected regions.
