News India Live, Digital Desk: Pak airspace: Pakistan took back its aircraft for Lahore and Islamabad airports on Wednesday, taking retaliation after India targeted terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK).
According to a statement issued by Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA), all commercial flights at Lahore and Islamabad Airport have been suspended since late Wednesday night. However, the operation of flights from Karachi Airport continues normally.
Prior to this action, the Government of Pakistan had announced the closure of its aircraft for 48 hours, describing the action taken by India as ‘careless’ and ‘provocative’. Islamabad formally informed the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), saying that India’s action has posed a serious threat to civilian aviation security.
It has been said by the Pakistani administration that citizens have also died in these actions of India, causing the situation to become more tense. Pakistan has strongly condemned India’s action in front of the international community.
