On 21 November 2022, Narayan Jagadishan scored a fiery innings of 277 runs in just 141 balls against Arunachal Pradesh in a match of Vijay Hazare Trophy in Bengaluru.

With this innings, Jagadishan overtook Alastair Brown’s record of 268 runs in 2002. He also left behind the record of 264 runs against Sri Lanka at the ODI International by Rohit Sharma.
