Jaish-e-Mohammed said in a statement, “The entire family of Maulana Kashaf, including Maulana Masood Azhar’s elder sister, has been killed and four sons of Mufti Abdul Rauf’s grandson, Baji Sadia’s husband and his elder daughter have been injured. Most women and children have been killed.” Azhar’s family members and close associates, who were killed in an airstrike, will be buried today.
Late last night, the Indian Armed Forces launched accurate missile attacks on nine terrorist camps including Jaish-e-Mohammed’s stronghold Wahawalpur in Punjab. At a press conference, Foreign Secretary Vikram Egypt said that ‘India’s action was not focused, napi-tuli and provocation’. He said that the Pahalgam attack was extremely cruel.
Operation lasted till late night
On this occasion, Colonel Sophia Qureshi said that the Indian armed forces carried out the ‘Operation Sindoor’ between 1.05 to 1.30 pm on the night of 6-7 May 2025. He said, “The operation was started on 22 April to provide justice to innocent citizens and their families victims of a fierce terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The operation did not target military camps or citizens. Nine terrorist camps were targeted and destroyed completely.” Earlier, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement, “Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, from where terrorist attacks against India were being planned and directed. A total of nine places were targeted.”
