Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited Chaundi in Ahilyanagar on Tuesday to lay the foundation stone for two important development projects. He was joined by Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, as well as Chairman of the Legislative Council Prof. Ram Shinde and other leaders.

The first project is the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Cooperative Spinning Mill. This project will cost around Rs 80.90 crore. Once completed, the mill will provide jobs to many people in the region and help cotton farmers get better prices for their crops. It is expected to support the local economy and boost development in the area.

The second project is the construction of the road from Chaundi to Nimgaon Daku under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana. This new road is part of State Highway 405 and will cost around Rs 394.04 crore. The road will improve travel and transport in the region, helping villages connect better to markets, schools, and hospitals.

The information shared by the Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis via X on Tuesday stated, “Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today unveiled the foundation stone of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Cooperative Spinning Mill (approx. ₹ 80.90 crore) and State Highway 405 (Chaundi) to Nimgaon Daku Road (approx. ₹ 394.04 crore) under the Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana at Chaundi, Ahilyanagar.”

A post shared by CM Devendra Fadnavis included a video of the inauguration of projects, highlighting the government’s focus on rural development. These initiatives aim to create more job opportunities, improve road infrastructure, and elevate the standard of living in villages.

The event was attended by many local residents and leaders who were happy to see these projects being launched in their area. These steps mark a big move towards development and prosperity for the people of Ahilyanagar.
