News India Live, Digital Desk: New Four Lane Road: The Madhya Pradesh government is working rapidly towards strengthening the road infrastructure. Under this, it has been announced to construct a 48 km long new forelane highway between Ujjain and Indore. The construction of this highway will cost about Rs 1370 crore.
Special preparation for Simhastha 2028
Madhya Pradesh government has already started preparations for Simhastha 2028 to be held in Ujjain. With the formation of the new highway, devotees will get very easy to travel. This highway will start from Simhastha bypass of Ujjain and go to Pitru Parvat in Hatod area of Indore, which will reduce the pressure of the present Ujjain-Indore road.
29 villages will get benefit
The project will directly benefit 29 villages, of which 20 villages will be in Indore district and 9 villages in Ujjain district. More than 350 hectares of land will be acquired for the project, the process of which will begin immediately after the DPR (Detailed Project Report) is ready. The DPR is likely to be ready by next month.
Benefits from new highway:
- Development of rural areas will be accelerated.
- Local people will get an option to travel fast and safe.
- The time to reach Ujjain from Indore will decrease, which will promote trade and tourism.
- Investment will increase in other areas including real estate in rural areas.
Indore-Ahmedabad highway will be direct connectivity:
This new highway will connect Indore-Ahmedabad Road directly to Ujjain to Ujjain. This will make it easy for devotees coming from cities like Dhar, Ahmedabad and Mumbai to go to Ujjain. This new route will also reduce traffic pressure at MR-10 and Lavkush intersection at present.
Indore-Ujjain route will be six lanes:
Presently the Indore-Ujjain road is being made six lanes. The route from Aurobindo to Harifata is being converted into six lanes, in which construction work is being done by removing encroachments from rural areas. This project will make traffic smooth and improve the quality of travel.
