Mi vs GT: Playoff’s favorite Mumbai Indians will take on Gujarat Titans in the IPL on Tuesday. It will be a difficult challenge for Gujarat batsmen to face quality bowling in all three formats. Mumbai will have to win two of their remaining three matches to qualify for the playoffs with the best net run rate in all teams. The five -time champion team will play two of these matches on their home ground, where they have won four out of five matches.

Gujarat, ranked fourth, has four matches left for now, two of which will be played in Ahmedabad, where he has won four out of five matches. Shubman Gill -led team will have to win two more matches to reach the playoffs. Gujarat’s B Sai Sudarshan (504 runs), Jose Butler (470) and captain Gill (465) are in good form. He will now face Mumbai’s Trent Bolt (16 wickets), Hardik Pandya (13), Jaspreet Bumrah (11) and Deepak Chahar (9), which will not be easy.

Since returning to Mumbai (winner XI), he has not allowed the opposition team to score more than 200 runs in any match. Mumbai is full of confidence by winning six consecutive matches after a poor start. The key to Gujarat’s success is the performance of his batsmen. On the other hand, Mumbai will also worry about Gujarat’s great record in chasing the target. Gujarat has won three matches by a big margin chasing the target.

Other batsmen have not been tested due to the superb form of the top three batsmen of Gujarat. Sherfen Rutherford (201) has got some opportunities in the middle order. The Mumbai bowlers will now aim to dismiss the top order of Gujarat cheaply. Three season ago, under the captaincy of Hardik, Gujarat won the IPL title in their first match. The same Hardik is now the captain of Mumbai, who has returned after a very average start.

Pandya’s team is ready for the challenge. Hardik himself has taken 13 wickets and scored 157 runs. Rohit Sharma (293 runs) and Suryakumar Yadav (475 runs) are also in form. Ryan Ricelton (334 runs) has achieved the form after a slow start. Tilak Verma (239) and Naman Dhir (155) brought depth in batting. Gujarat bowlers have also performed well in the absence of Kagiso Rabada. Rabada is facing restrictions for the use of restricted recreational material and is not yet known whether he will be able to return. Gujarat’s Pradish Krishna won the purple cap with 19 wickets, while Mohammad Siraj took 14 wickets and R Sai Kishore took 12 wickets.
