Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has been asked to take immediate steps to complete the S-50 new and old creek bridge and the full joggers’ track construction in her constituency.

A formal letter dated May 2, 2025, Belapur MLA Manda Vijay Mhatre has urged the civic body to undertake the work at the earliest.

Addressed to Dr. Kailas Shinde, the Commissioner of NMMC, the letter references a prior appeal made by local citizen representative Bharat Jadhav. Mhatre emphasized that the pending development of the S-50 infrastructure—particularly the reconstruction of the old and new creek bridge along with the joggers’ track—has been a long-standing demand of the public and remains incomplete.

She noted that while the proposal has already been submitted to the municipal body, NMMC has yet to implement the plans despite repeated requests. Mhatre urged the municipal authorities to act swiftly in approving and executing the full project, citing its importance for the welfare of local residents.

The letter has also been forwarded to Shirish Aradhwad , City Engineer of NMMC, reinforcing the demand for timely action. The request is seen as part of Mhatre’s broader efforts to improve infrastructure and public amenities in the Belapur constituency.
