The Indian Army and the police have achieved great success in Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. On Monday, he came to know about a terrorist hideout in Surankot village. Five IEDs, several radio sets, wire, telescope and blankets have been recovered from there. This action has taken place at a time when security arrangements in Kashmir have been tightened. The police have released pictures of the location.

This success was achieved a day after the security review meeting chaired by IGP Kashmir VK Birdi. Police, army, intelligence agencies and CRPF officials participated in this meeting. Officials informed IGP Kashmir about the security situation in the valley. He also focused on current security challenges.

Radio sets and IEDs are clearly visible in the photographs released by the police. This shows that the terrorists were planning to carry out a major conspiracy. However, their plan failed due to vigilance of the army and police. IGP Kashmir VK Birdi said in a meeting with security officials that we have to be ready to face every challenge. He instructed the security forces to be ready and cautious to deal with any situation.
