Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati on Rahul Gandhi: Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotirmath has given a big statement about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that Rahul Gandhi is no longer a part of Hinduism. Shankaracharya has publicly announced a boycott of Hinduism by Rahul Gandhi.
Talking to reporters at Shankaracharya Ashram in Badrinath, Swami Avimukteshwaranand said, “All Sanatan Dharmavalambi is unhappy with Rahul Gandhi’s statement about Manusmriti in Parliament.” Rahul Gandhi says in Parliament that the formula to save rapists is not in the constitution, but in your book i.e. Manusmriti.
He said, “A notice was sent to Rahul Gandhi three months ago, in which he clearly said that what he said is written in Manusmriti?” But even after so much time, Rahul Gandhi has neither reacted nor apologized.
Shankaracharya said, ‘When a person constantly insults Hindu scriptures and avoids clarification, he cannot be given a place in Hinduism. Now Rahul Gandhi should be opposed in temples and an appeal should be made to the priests not to worship them, because they are not entitled to call themselves Hindus.
Rahul Gandhi does not need to give a certificate to anyone: Ajay Rai
State President of Uttar Pradesh Congress Ajay Rai reacted to this statement in Varanasi. He said, ‘Rahul Gandhi does not need to give a certificate to anyone. There is no greater Shiva devotee than them. Rahul Gandhi is the only person who has traveled to Mansarovar and has visited Kedarnath and has done darshan and worship.
However, this statement of Shankaracharya has created a stir in politics. Rahul Gandhi has been in controversies before his statements, but this is the first time he is facing public boycott by a religious organization.
