News India Live, Digital Desk: Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) customers have been waiting for high-speed 5G internet for a long time. Now a big news has come out in this direction. BSNL has partnered with Tata Group’s telecom equipment manufacturer Tejas Networks. Tejas Network has successfully completed the supply of equipment of more than one lakh 4G and 5G sites for BSNL under this big deal of about Rs 7,492 crore.
Tejas Network CEO expresses happiness
Expressing happiness over this major achievement, CEO Anand Atreya of Tejas Network said, “We have completed the supply of more than 1 lakh sites for BSNL’s 4G and 5G network. This distribution is one of the largest Ran (Radio Access Network) delivery made by single vendors globally. I am proud of my team’s achievement.”
How long will BSNL’s 5G service be launched?
However, when the 5G service of BSNL will be launched, its official date has not been announced at present. But it is estimated that BSNL can start 4G service before next month i.e. June, after which it will be rapidly upgraded to 5G network. With this, BSNL will also be involved in high-speed internet competition with private companies.
BSNL testing started in these cities
According to media reports, BSNL has started testing tower sites in the capitals of many other states including Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Kolkata, Patna, Hyderabad and Chennai. Currently, most of the sites in these cities are associated with 4G service, which will be upgraded to 5G in the future.
With this step, BSNL may soon be included in the big companies providing high-speed internet services in the Indian market.
