Actor Babil Khan was all over the news on Sunday after he posted a video online in which he was seen breaking down and calling Bollywood the “fakest industry”. And now, his friend Raghav Juyal, whom he also named in the video, shared that Babil was suffering an anxiety attack, and that he should not be expecting help from anyone.
In the video, Babil stated that a lot of people in Bollywood were “rude”, and in the same clip, he also named Raghav, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Adarsh Gourav and others. However, his team later issued a statement and clarified that the viral video was doctored and in the real video, Babil had said he actually admired those celebs.
Speaking to ETimes, Raghav shared, “I spoke to his mother, Sutapa ma’am, and she says he is going through an anxiety attack. He is in Hyderabad. He is supposed to start shooting from tomorrow. Now he is coming home. He needs to rest, he needs to understand we are all there for him.”
“Siddhant Chaturvedi, whom Babil has also named, called me and said there was a mix-up. Babil meant to say I and some others were among those who had been supportive, while some others had been rude. It came out all mixed up,” he added.
Raghav went on to say that everyone has to struggle in the industry, and it took years of struggle for him too to reach the place he is today. “He should not have been allowed to speak. We are all with Babil. But the struggle is his own,” he stated.
“He needs to come to terms with the ground reality. He has his father’s legacy to carry forward. But he should not be weighed down by the legacy. Nor should be expect support or help from anyone,” concluded Raghav.
The Kill actor also shared the statement issued by Babil’s team on his social media handle with the caption, “BABİL is my family and I am always with him no matter what (sic).”
Meanwhile, Babil has deactivated his Instagram account.
