The All India Business Confederation (CAT) has welcomed the adventure and decisive move by the Government of India to ban direct or indirect import and transit of any items from Pakistan or with immediate effect. Shri Praveen Khandelwal, National General Secretary of CAT and MP from Chandni Chowk in Delhi, said, “This decision gives a strong and clear message that trade and economic relations between Pakistan’s constant hostile activities and anti -India stance cannot be maintained.”

National security interests are paramount.

Khandelwal said that this step not only meets national security interests, but also respects the sentiments of the country’s business community and common citizens, seeking strict action on economic relations with countries that have long supported terrorism. The government has clarified its commitment to national sovereignty and security by banning the trade and transportation of goods from Pakistan.

Appeal to support traders

CAT National President B.K. C. Indian has appealed to traders across the country to fully support and comply with this policy and ensure that no goods from Pakistan can directly or indirectly enter the Indian market. Kat has reiterated that it is committed to working shoulder to shoulder with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the government in the interest of the country and to realize the vision of self -reliant India.

Business leaders have called upon Indian manufacturers and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the opportunity to strengthen local manufacturing and develop indigenous options for goods imported before Pakistan to promote the country’s industry and create new employment opportunities.
