The Senior Citizen Healthcare Foundation, Airoli, marked its 6th anniversary with a grand celebration.
The celebration was graced by Shri Annasaheb Tekale, President of the Maharashtra Senior Citizens Federation, who presided over the event, and Vasantrao Chavan, Chairman of Indravati Hospital and Research Center, as the guest of honor. Other key guests included Kisanrao Palande, Deputy Commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation;i T.P.R. Unni, National President of the All India Senior Citizens Federation; Suresh Pote, President of the Mumbai Regional Division of the Maharashtra Senior Citizens Federation; and Deepak Sonawane, Editor of Dainik Dhavate Navnagar.
A musical performance by foundation member Shri Shridhar Zharekar, who presented a medley of Hindi and Marathi songs, added a festive spirit to the occasion.
Foundation President and Founder Shri Babanrao Patkar delivered the welcome address and presented a five-year progress report, highlighting the foundation’s various initiatives. A commemorative booklet was also released during the event.
As part of the celebrations, senior members aged 75 and above, as well as those with April birthdays, were felicitated. Yoga instructors, who have contributed to the physical well-being of members, were also honored for their dedicated service.
In his keynote address, Tekale discussed government schemes and pending demands for senior citizens. Palande spoke about the initiatives taken by Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, including the establishment of old age homes and recreational centers. Chavan emphasized the importance of environmental balance in human life.
Pote proposed hosting the upcoming Maharashtra Senior Citizens Federation convention in Navi Mumbai, seeking the foundation’s support. Shri Sonawane lauded the foundation’s diverse work, noting that it is the only organization in Airoli actively engaged across multiple domains for senior citizens.
