There is an atmosphere of panic in Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK) amidst the possibility of India’s possible military action. PoK Prime Minister Chaudhary Anwar-ul-Haq indicated on Thursday that emergency can be imposed in the area if the situation worsened.
Ban on entry of tourists into sensitive areas near Neelam Valley and Line of Control
In view of the security situation, the entry of tourists has been banned into sensitive areas near the Neelam Valley and the Line of Control (LoC). Madrasas have been ordered to be closed for 10 days.
The PoK government has claimed that in the event of Indian invasion, complete preparations have been made to ensure the supply of food grains, medicines and other essential commodities. One billion rupees have been transferred to the emergency fund. Apart from this, owners of hotels, guesthouse and marriage hall have also offered to give their property to the army.
Madrasas were closed.
On Thursday, authorities banned the entry of tourists to the Neelam Valley and other sensitive areas located near the Line of Control. Many tourists were sent back from marble checkpost. Residents of Lipa Valley have been banned from going to the Line of Control (LoC) and security agencies have been asked to cooperate.
The government decided to close madrasas for 10 days.
Based on intelligence, the government decided to close madrasas for 10 days, as it is feared that India may target these institutions by marking them as terrorist training centers. Law Minister Mian Abdul Wahid bluntly said, “We are facing a clever, ruthless and conspiratorial enemy, whose nefarious acts cannot be denied.”
