After the Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to retaliate, not only Pakistan, but also the UN Security Council (UNSC) has been worried. The United Nations Security Council is confident that India will take strict action against Pakistani terrorists. For this reason, UNSC has called an emergency meeting in view of the increasing tension between the two countries.

 

The Chairman of the United Nations Security Council said that the security council meeting could be held soon, he expressed concern over the growing tension between two nuclear -rich South Asian countries. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and find solutions to reduce stress.

The new chairman of the United Nations Security Council, Evengelos Tsekaris, said that if requested, the meeting could be held very soon. He also said that the Security Council is completely cautious about the increasing tension between India and Pakistan and is considering the issue.

At the same time, Cecris strongly condemned any act of terrorism and described the terrorist attack in Pahalgam as “heinous” in which innocent people were killed. He expressed his condolences to India, Nepal and the families of the victims.

However, the main objective of this meeting is to promote regional peace and consider measures to reduce stress.
