Islamabad: Pakistani Member of Parliament (MP) and former leader of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sher Afzal Khan Marwat has said that he would go to England for shelter if there is an India Pakistan war and things escalate. A chunk of his interaction with a media channel is going viral on social media.

Speaking to a local Pakistani news channel, Marwat was asked,”Bataur Pakistani agar jung badh jati hai toh bandook lekar border par jayenge? Which roughly translates to, “As a Pakistani, if a war breaks out and situation escalates, will you go to the border with a gun?”

Responding to which Marawat said, “Nahi, agar jung badh jati hai toh main England chala jaunga.” Which roughly transaltes to “If the war escalates i will go to England.”

The reporter then asks him, “Inn halat mein, aap nahi samjte ki Modi ko thoda sa piche jana chaiye taki halat normal ho.” Which roughly translates to, Does he thinks that “Modi should have taken a step back so that things are back to normalcy”.

Responding to which he said, “Modi mere khala ka beta hai, jo mere kehne se piche jayega?” Which translates to “Is Modi my aunty’s son that he would take a step back listening to me?”

Apart from being an politician, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat is an advocate in Pakistan’s Supreme Court. He is also a human rights activist.

Meanwhile, In response to India’s digital strike on Pakistani artists, The Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) on Thursday banned Indian songs from being played on FM radio stations throughout the country in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed 26 innocent lives.
