News India Live, Digital Desk: The central government has approved the caste census in the recent Union Cabinet meeting. After the cabinet meeting, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed about the decision. After this decision, the importance of caste certificate has increased further.
Now you will not have to go round the government offices to get a cast certificate. You can easily apply online by visiting the official website of your state.
How to apply on your state website:
Every state has a separate website for caste certificate. The websites of some major states are as follows:
- Rajasthan: sso.rajasthan.gov.in
Uttar Pradesh: Edistrick.up.gov.in
Bihar: serviceonline.bihar.gov.in
Delhi: Edistrick.delhigovt.nic.in
Madhya Pradesh: MPedistrick.gov.in
Application process:
- If you are applying for the first time, then choose the option of “New User Registration” on the website.
- Register by filling your name, mobile number, email ID, address, Aadhaar number etc.
- Verification from OTP on the mobile number.
- After this, make user ID and password and log in.
- After logging in, choose the option of “caste certificate” or “caste certificate”.
Fill these information carefully while filling the form:
- Own name
- Father/husband’s name
- Date of birth
- Permanent and current address
- Religion and Castes (SC, ST, OBC)
- The purpose of applying (eg government jobs, scholarships etc.)
Documents required for application:
- Aadhar card
- Residence Certificate (Ration Card, Electricity Bill etc.)
- Father or grandfather’s caste certificate (if available)
- Passport Size Photo
- School certificate or birth certificate
After submitting the form:
On submitting the application, an application number or acknowledgment slip will be available. Protect it. The application will be examined by the concerned Tehsil or SDM office. If needed, there may also be a visit for verification at your home.
