Mumbai – A woman constable, who works with a police inspector in Sambhajinagar, has filed a complaint against her for sending objectionable messages against her, causing a stir. Just a day before the woman constable filed a complaint, the name of the inspector was declared for the prestigious medal for the good work of the State Director General of Police (DG). The very next day, there has been a panic in the police force due to such action against this police officer.
According to further information received in this regard, the name of Ashok Bhandare, Police Inspector of the Traffic Department of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, was declared for the prestigious DG medal for good work. The very next day of the incident, a female colleague, who is a police constable, filed a complaint against Ashok Bhandare and filed a case. The woman constable said in her complaint that Bhandare harassed her by sending objectionable pictures and messages on WhatsApp. Bhandare clarified that the case has been registered against him due to hatred and misunderstanding.
The complainant further clarified the matter, saying that he has been serving in the police force for the last 34 years. On 9 April, he received a call from an unknown number on WhatsApp. At this time he was talking to his mother. Then, since the number was not safe, whom would he contact? The officer who asked such a question first sent his photo and then sent objectionable messages and photos. After this, on Tuesday, a woman constable lodged a complaint against Bhandare at Begumpura police station and a case of molestation was lodged. Further investigation is being done in this case.
