A 24-year-old man was brutally stabbed 14 times in a shocking daylight attack in Delhi’s Samaypur Badli area when a minor, accompanied by two friends, assaulted his sister’s boyfriend. The victim, identified as Lavish, suffered multiple stab wounds to his stomach, neck, chest, arms, and other body parts.
Passersby rushed the severely injured man to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital where he remains in critical condition. The Samaypur Badli police station has registered an attempted murder case and launched an investigation into the incident.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Nithin Walson, Lavish resides with his family in Rana Park, Libaspur. His father Anil Kumar runs a pizza shop, and Lavish works for a builder in Badarpur. The attack occurred around 2:30 PM on Tuesday when Lavish had visited his shop for some work.
Police investigation revealed that Lavish was in a relationship with a young woman who works at Lion Blood Center in Shalimar Bagh. The woman’s two younger brothers disapproved of this relationship. The elder brother had previously warned Lavish to stay away from their sister some months ago. However, Lavish continued to meet the woman, which angered her minor brother, leading to Tuesday’s attack.
CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing the three accused boys attacking Lavish with knives and later fleeing the scene. Police were informed about the stabbing around 4 PM and are currently searching for the three minor suspects.
