1. Kapalbhati Pranayama
Kapalbhati Pranayama activates all the stomach glands including pancreas, which improves insulin secretion. It is also helpful in controlling blood sugar levels as well as digestion and weight loss.
How to do: Take a deep breath sitting in Sukhasana or Padmasana. Pulling the stomach inwards and breathe fast. In the beginning, do about 1 minute 60 times, increase the time of practice slowly.
2. Vajrasana
Vajrasana is the only yogasana that can be done immediately after eating. It improves digestion and increases insulin sensitivity.
How to do: Sit up straight on your knees and keep the spine straight by putting body weight on the ankles. Sit 5 to 10 minutes daily in this state.
3. Ardh Matsyendrasana
This yogasan increases its functionality by putting pressure on the pancreas. It improves liver, kidney and digestion and also helps in extracting toxins from the body.
How to do: Sit by spreading feet on the ground. Fold the right leg and place beyond the left knee. Place the left hand on the right knee and bend the body to the right. Similarly, do it on the other side.
4. Dhanurasan
This asana brings the body to the shape of a bow, which causes stretch in the stomach and activates the pancreas.
How to do: Lie on the stomach, bend the feet with knees and hold the heels with hands. Take up the body while breathing. Stay in this position for a few seconds and then gradually return to normal position.
