Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Police probing the rape and blackmail racket have uncovered chilling details about Sahil Khan, one of the key accused.
Sahil, a native of Panna district who ran a dance class in the Ashoka Garden area, not only raped and blackmailed many girls but also trafficked some of them to other men for money, officials said.
Sahil was arrested from Panna, and obscene videos of several girls were recovered from his mobile phone. Investigators said he targeted girls enrolled in his dance class, raped them, filmed the assaults, and used the videos to blackmail them into silence.
Later, he sent some victims to other men in return for cash — though the victims were unaware they were being exploited for money.
Sahil and co-accused Farhan, a close associate, shared these videos with each other. Both were the first to be arrested among the six accused in the case. Sahil also trapped girls of other religions using fake social media profiles, where he hid his real identity.
Police are now identifying the men to whom Sahil trafficked the victims.
Fifth FIR registered
In a related development, a fifth FIR has been registered on zero at Bag Sewania police station against Farhan and Ali. The case will be transferred to Ashoka Garden police station.
The FIR was filed by a victim who was seen in one of the videos recovered from Farhan and Ali’s phones, in which she was being raped and beaten.
Police also sent a team to Indore as part of the investigation into the first FIR against Farhan. The victim in that case was staying in a rented room when Farhan arrived, forced her to open the door, raped her, and recorded the act.
