News India Live, Digital Desk: After the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the central government has become very cautious about security. In view of this, two important high level meetings were held in Delhi on Tuesday.
Big meeting in Home Ministry The first meeting was held in the Ministry of Home Affairs, which included senior officers and heads of the Border Security Force (BSF), Assam Rifle, National Security Guard (NSG), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and heads under the chairmanship of Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan. In this meeting, strategies were discussed to strengthen security and prevent terrorist activities.
High level meeting at Prime Minister’s residence After this, another important meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s residence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accompanied by Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval. According to sources, the information of this meeting has not been made public in view of the sensitivity of the campaign against terrorism.
Anti -terrorism campaign boom After the meeting, the anti-terrorism campaign in Jammu and Kashmir has been intensified. In the last six days, security forces have raided more than 600 places in the valley. In Srinagar, there have been raids at many places in Doda and Kishtwar districts including 36 places. During these campaigns, several suspects were questioned and nine houses associated with terrorists have been demolished.
Focus on breaking terrorist network The Srinagar police has clarified that the raids are part of strict action against banned terrorist organizations and their colleagues. The police are emphasizing on ending the infrastructure supporting terrorism, furthering the investigation into cases registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
It is clear from these meetings and intensive campaigns of the central government that strict measures are being taken against terrorism. Security agencies are completely on alert and are continuously taking action to curb terrorist activities.
