Chardham Yatra 2025: Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee released new guidelines, violation will be fined heavy

This year the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has issued some new rules for the devotees, which will be mandatory to follow. Those who violate the rules may have to pay a fine of up to Rs 5000. Let’s know what these new rules are.

Important dates of Chardham Yatra:

  • The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri: 30 April
  • Kedarnath Dham doors: 2 May
  • Badrinath Dham doors: 4 May

Ban in temple complex:

  • There is a strict ban on taking photographs and making video calling in the Badrinath temple complex.
  • Those who break the rules will be fined up to Rs 5000.

Why the video calling and photo ban?

  • According to the temple administration, due to photo and video calling, unnecessary crowd in the temple premises increases, causing discomfort and philosophy to other devotees.

Registration required for Chardham Yatra:

  • Online or offline registration is mandatory to participate in the journey.
  • Darshan will not be allowed without registration.

Parking system:

  • Separate parking will be available for pilgrims’ vehicles.
  • Challan will be done on those who park vehicles on the roads.

Registration check:

  • Registration will be investigated at Gauchar, Pandukeshwar, Mana Pass and BRO Chowk in Chamoli district.
  • Time slot tokens will be given for darshan.

Control of Prasad shops:

  • Only those shopkeepers who have been setting up shops for the last 25-30 years will be allowed for crowd control around the temple.

Slot system for darshan:

  • A time slot system has been implemented for arrangements for darshan in the temple.

Health Advisory and Oxygen Facility:

  • QR codes of health information will be installed in 13 languages ​​in hotels and dharamshalas.
  • The arrangement of oxygen concentrator will be mandatory in all establishments.
