Rajasthan Budget 2025: Emphasis on eliminating traffic jams and rejuvenation of roads

News India Live, Digital Desk: The Rajasthan government has made special provisions in this year’s budget to rejuvenate the roads of the state and deal with the problem of traffic jam. Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Dia Kumari made several important announcements presenting the budget in the assembly today.

Nine Greenfield Expressway will be built for 60 thousand crores

Finance Minister Dia Kumari has announced the construction of a 2750 km long Greenfield Expressway, on which around Rs 60,000 crore will be spent. This project will speed up traffic in the state and also encourage economic development.

Ring road will be built in 15 cities

In order to get rid of traffic pressure, the government has proposed to build a ring road in 15 major cities of the state in the first phase. These cities include cities like Balotra, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Sikar, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Banswara and Deeg. 50 crore has been allocated for preparing DPR (detailed project report) of these ring road projects.

21,000 km non-peculated roads will be constructed

Along with this, the government will construct a non-peculated roads of 21,000 km length at a cost of Rs 6000 crore. In the first phase, 10-10 crores will be spent in each assembly constituency and Rs 15-15 crore in desert areas.

BRTS will be removed from Jaipur

In order to improve traffic in the capital Jaipur, the Finance Minister also announced the removal of Rapid Transit Service (BRTS).

Ram Jal Setu Link Project

The state government has started the Ram Jal Setu Link Project in collaboration with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will strengthen the water supply network in the state. This project will be particularly beneficial for farmers and rural areas.

Dia Kumari said that in the last years the state government has constructed 9600 km of new roads and upgraded 13,000 km of roads. These schemes will improve connectivity in far-flung areas of the state, strengthen traffic facilities and will strengthen economic activities.
