Born on 21 December 1987 in Gurdaspur, Punjab, Navjot Simi obtained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Baba Jaswant Singh Dental Hospital and Research Institute of Ludhiana. After working as a dentist for some time, he started preparing for the UPSC exam.
In his first attempt in 2018, Navjot secured All India 735th rank in UPSC Civil Services Examination and was selected for IPS service in Bihar cadre. His success included his self -study, correct use of online resources and constant hard work. Navjot proved that success is possible with proper strategy and dedication even without expensive coaching.
After training at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad, Navjot Simi was appointed as DSP in Patna. As an IPS officer, he has participated in many important campaigns related to law and order, women safety, child protection and social welfare. Navjot is also very active on social media platforms, where he has more than 11 lakh followers on Instagram. She regularly shares her experiences and thoughts.
In private life, Navjot Simi is married to Tushar Singla, IAS officer of Punjab cadre, who secured 86th rank in the UPSC exam in 2015.
