Another hit Bollywood film might be getting a sequel! Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is reportedly developing Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 2, a follow-up to the 2004 comedy blockbuster directed by David Dhawan. The original starred Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra, and became a fan favourite for its comedy, catchy music, and beachy Goa backdrop.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, the sequel is currently in the scripting stage.

“Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 2 is currently in the scripting stage, and the final outcome of it being made depends on how the script shapes up. If Sajid is happy with the script, he will start the casting process, or else put the film on the backburner. The idea is to make another comedy of errors with three leads,” a source close to the production informed the news portal.

Sajid himself has not reacted to the reports of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 2 yet. Unlike the original, the sequel is expected to feature three young actors, although no names have been confirmed yet. The tone will remain comedic, with a fresh twist on the love-triangle chaos that defined the first part.

Mujhse Shaadi Karogi continues to be celebrated for its high-energy performances, particularly the quirky rivalry between Salman and Akshay’s characters, as they try to win over Priyanka’s character.

Last year, the film completed 20 years of its release.

The film revolved around a comical love triangle involving the characters played by Akshay, Salman and Priyanka. Akshay and Salman’s characters, Sunny and Sameer, both vie for the affection of PeeCee’s character (Rani), leading to a series of entertaining and humorous situations.
